Karen Hurley

Karen Hurley

, MSW, RSW

For the past 20 years, Karen has been honored to bear witness to the ever-
changing learning of people’s personal and relationship journeys. Karen began
her therapy practice in 1997 in order to join people in their quest for enriched and
more fulfilling lives.

After earning her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Toronto,
Karen completed post-graduate training, including studies in couples therapy at
Harvard Medical School, emotionally focused therapy, insight oriented analytical
psychotherapy and addictions studies.

It is Karen’s belief that psychotherapy is an exploratory process of understanding
our unique life stories and where loss, pain, growth and joy are experienced.
Therapeutic conversations are intimate journey’s into the inner landscape of our
being. They provide space for new understandings of events of our lives, and
offer us new territories of awareness we could not otherwise gain.

Karen is a Registered Social Worker (RSW), a Registered Marriage and Family
Therapist (RMFT) and a Clinical Member of the Ontario Association for Marriage
and Family Therapy
