I recently went through a transition in my life, and it has reminded me how important self-care is. Whenever one goes through a transition, for example, job loss, loss of a loved one, getting married, having a baby, moving house, starting university/college/new job, etc., it is so important to implement self-care strategies. For me it is important that I have structure in my life, a strong support network, exercise, healthy eating, and time for fun or something to look forward to. In times of transition it is important to slow things down, not make any big decisions, and keep things in persepctive.
